Hi Everyone
My name is Jemima but everyone calls me Mima. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on 13th June 2007 and had to spend just over 3 weeks in hospital. I have set up this blog so that I can keep in touch with my friends and keep you up to date with what I am doing.
WE DID IT!!! - THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SUPPORTED JEMIMA INVITES OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, WE HAVE NOW MANAGED TO BEGIN THE RESEARCH WHICH PROFESSOR MARTIN DYER WAS SO DESPERATE TO DO.

Busy, Busy, Busy
Emily and I are sailing at Rutland Water this week ready for our holiday in Devon next week. It has been really fun so far and a good wind so we are learning loads. Apart from a few aches and pains, I feel really well. I had to pop in to hospital yesterday afternoon because I have conjuntivitus but other than that I am fine.
Vincristine and steroids tomorrow yuk, yuk, yuk but hopefully it won't be too bad for my holiday.
The really exciting news is that my uncle and aunt and my cousins are on their way over from Hawaii to have a holiday with us in Devon. We have not seen Uncle Simon and Kianna (my cousin) for 2½ years and we have not seen Auntie Lisa, Brandon and Lauren (my other cousins) for 5 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are all sooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!! I hope the sun shines for them.

Wow Mima!!!! I am in awe of your sailing!! You look like a proper sailer in you photo I am soooooooo impressed!! What an exciting life you lead! As long as your having a fabulous time (which you look like you are) its good.
You must be so excited too about seeing your cousins, auntie and uncle who you haven't seen for sooo long. Prepare yourself for all those things that relatives say when they visit like "you've grown!!"
Hawaii... with all your friends and family in different countries you will have to go on a round-the-world trip when your older and visit them all!!
Hope the sailing goes well in Devon and the vincristine and steriods don't stop you having fun, fun, fun!
Lots of love, Kathryn xXx
P.S. I am still teaching Morgan to jump through the hoop though he only does it when he wants to otherwise he goes on strike - is Digby like that? I still have to seduce him with a tasty treat though he actually jumps through the hoop now and only tries to go under/round it sometimes x
I love the photograph you look fantastic.I can imagine your holiday in Devon is going to be such fabulous fun. Seeing Uncle Simon and his family will be very special. I'm sure you are all excited even Granny and Papa. I hope we see at least one photograph on the blog.I haven't seen Simon since your mummy and daddy's wedding. That was a long time ago.
I like hearing about your friend Katty's cats.I have a cat too. Her name is Tia.She doesn't do any tricks but she miaows alot.
I hope the vincristine and steriods goes well and that you are able to enjoy the holiday in every way.
Lots of love
Sue
