Hi Everyone

My name is Jemima but everyone calls me Mima. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on 13th June 2007 and had to spend just over 3 weeks in hospital. I have set up this blog so that I can keep in touch with my friends and keep you up to date with what I am doing.

WE DID IT!!! - THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SUPPORTED JEMIMA INVITES OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, WE HAVE NOW MANAGED TO BEGIN THE RESEARCH WHICH PROFESSOR MARTIN DYER WAS SO DESPERATE TO DO.

Busy, Busy, Busy
I am so sorry I have not updated my blog for a month but I have been really well and very busy!
Sadly, I am on steroids again now which started today so I will probably be a bit grumpy and hurting and feeling horrid by tomorrow afternoon. Never mind, only 5 more lots to do!
Now then, if you can, you must sponsor my Daddy's friend Willie. He is a bit mad and he is doing a big, big challenge called the three peaks challenge. www.justgiving.co.uk/williecarrjemimainvites
Thank you very much!
We went to see Dr Madi today and it was really funny because we go in to his office and he asks how I have been and usually I say well I broke my arm or put it through the window or my ankles are bad or I fell off a horse or something like that but today I just said I am very well thank you and he said that was very good to hear and it was the first time in 2 years I had said that! Do you know, we were in and out of the hospital having seen Dr Madi, had a full check up, had chemo and had my needle taken out, collected my new drugs, had a cup of tea all within 45 minutes! Record time!!!

Oh good. I am glad you have been busy, busy, busy. I have been looking to see how you have been getting on and I thought you have been feeling awful.

At least it is half term and you can just loll about when you are not feeling quite right.

Hope you have some fun as well.

Love the Greenlees x x

Mima! I missed you! I am so glad though that you have been so busy and well - as long as you are enjoying yourself and feeling ok it doesn't matter. 5 more lots of steroids eh? What great news I'll be counting down with you! Least the end is in sight now.
Have a nice half term. I hope you don't feel too bad - 2 days down already.
It's so nice to hear that you have been really well recently. I hope you do some really nice things in half term.
Take care of yourself and lots of love,
Kathryn xxx
P.S. I am a bit put out - Scooby just bit, scratched and hissed at me which is very unlike Scooby. I wonder what has got into him?
P.P.S. On Monday my sis is doing a 10k run in London for Children with Leukaemia. I tell her about you. I don't think she will be doing something as big as the Three Peaks Challenge though!

its really good to know that you have been feeling so well and have been busy and just didn't have the time to update your blog.I think it's a very good reason for not hearing from you. "No news is good news" and that's great.
Only 5 more lots of steroids the end is not so far away.At last!
Lots of love

Mima
I have been reading your blog regularly and things have been pretty awful at times so it was so good to read that things are going well at the moment. I hope this positive trend carries on until the end of your treatment.
It must have seemed like two very long years for you!
Fingers crossed for a fab Summer.
lots of love, Helen, Jon, Thomas and Rebeccaxxxxxxxxx
