Hi Everyone

My name is Jemima but everyone calls me Mima. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on 13th June 2007 and had to spend just over 3 weeks in hospital. I have set up this blog so that I can keep in touch with my friends and keep you up to date with what I am doing.

WE DID IT!!! - THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SUPPORTED JEMIMA INVITES OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, WE HAVE NOW MANAGED TO BEGIN THE RESEARCH WHICH PROFESSOR MARTIN DYER WAS SO DESPERATE TO DO.

To Mima, Sorry your feeling yukky! I hope that the week passes quickly so you don't feel horrible for long. It was very good that your MRI scan was clear though
:-) - is the EEG the one where you have all those probes attached to your head? Good luck and I hope its not as bad as the MRI scan was though I don't think it will be. Hopefully next time you write you will be happier and you'll feel better. Lots of love Kat P.S. Perhaps this story will make you smile... Scooby brought a mouse in and let it go in my bedroom so I had a mouse on the loose and it took us ages to catch it because it went right behind my furniture. It nearly went up my mum's trousers! x

Hi Mima,
Excellent MRI result, good luck for the EEG (if it's the one where you've got to be sleep deprived be sure to watch a movie and eat junk food late into the night!). As for the steroids.... Mia is on them this week to so she is feeling grumpy too...What actually makes you feel happy when it's a steroid week please give me some tips XXX Mia saya she feels a shout in her head and has to shout it out (she shouts alot!). We make a joke about it as much as possible but I can't imagine how it really feels and topping it all of is that yucky weekend medicine which causes many battles and lots more shouting in our house. This weekend she has taken the crushed tablet mixed in with yoghurt which has been the least disgusting way to take it so far! Mia is getting a new central line on Monday so she will be in hospital too but hopefully only for one night. I hope your stay is a quick one. Lots of Love XXXX Michelle ps say hi to your Mum and I will definately email for advice and or support if I need to THANK YOU XX
