Hi Everyone

My name is Jemima but everyone calls me Mima. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on 13th June 2007 and had to spend just over 3 weeks in hospital. I have set up this blog so that I can keep in touch with my friends and keep you up to date with what I am doing.

WE DID IT!!! - THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SUPPORTED JEMIMA INVITES OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, WE HAVE NOW MANAGED TO BEGIN THE RESEARCH WHICH PROFESSOR MARTIN DYER WAS SO DESPERATE TO DO.

I FEEL MUCH BETTER
We have had a fantastic weekend in Norfolk with everyone. We have been to the cafe for breakfast, played on the beach, lunch at the pub, played with my friends, supper at the sailing club, breakfast at the cafe, played on the beach, went to hospital for a blood test and then went home. I had a really special treat on Friday. Helena took me to Norfolk early and I had a sleepover with Henry and Alice and I loved it.
My blood is not good enough for me to start the next block of treatment so that means I am not in hospital today for the whole day. I think I will have a whole week off now and then try again on Monday to see what my blood is doing then. My bones are feeling much better and not so painful.
Thank you everyone who did the bike ride. We have raised about £15,000 which is amazing. I gave Justin a hug on Saturday to say thank you so here is a hug and a thank you to everyone else who did it too. If you enjoyed it, Uncle Martin and Uncle CJ think they will do it again.
Enjoy the sunshine!

Wow - what a great weekend you had - you must have had a year's suypply of meal's out!! Meanwhile I had 11 children for the weekend with lots of cooking and washing up - next time I'm definitlely doing the bike ride! I'm so glad you're feeling better and you can enjoy the sunshine without aching bones. I expect some of the cyclists will have aching muscles today - good for them - give them a hug from me too (especially Daddy!) We'll be getting the boys' bikes oiled up for their ride on Sunday - let's hope the weather stays like this.
Lots of love from all the Jemma Effs xxx
PS First time I've made the FIRST comment!

Hi Mima! I'm sooooo glad you are feeling a lot better, you sound a lot perkier too - back to your usual self again! It seems like you had a brilliant weekend and you were so busy - you put me to shame I stayed at home all weekend and just did my uni work - boring! I wouldn't be surprised if those cyclists have sore bottoms as well as muscles but I'm sure its worth it to help you. I can't believe they cycled all the way to Norfolk though, they must be very fit. The sun is glorious isn't it? Lots of love Kathryn xXx

The bike ride was a huge success wasn't it?So pleased the weather played along and made it so special.Your weekend sounds great. As usual you were very busy.
We had terrible weather here over the weekend wet and cold but its back to normal now bright blue sky and lots of sunshine.
I hadn't been able to check your blog for a while because I thought I had a virus.Fortunately I don't seem to have missed out on hearing about anything.
Lots of love

Sounds like a brilliant weekend, glad the sun shone the whole time to make it such fun! Lucy & Millie were in Norfolk too, not sure if you saw them? They had a great time too. Hopefully all the cyclists' numb bums are feeling better now, ready for the next ride soon I hope! Love Clare, Steve, Lucy & Millie xx

I really enjoyed the weekend too most especially when we went on the muddy marshes. Are you at school at the moment? I would rather not be at school in the sunshine!

Hi Mima!
So glad you are feeling a bit brighter and what a great time you had, sleepovers are so cool aren't they?
Sounds like the bike ride went really well, and I've been putting your fundraising page up on all the messageboards I use so more people can find out and donate hopefully.
Enjoy the sunshine this weekend love Jan

Hi Mima,

Great to see you last weekend, what amazing weather we all had. We all stayed on for another week and luckily for us we didn't see a cloud all week so I have come back a little more red than when I left even though I wore factor 45 all week, Paul looks like he has been to Jamaica for 2 weeks!!
Sorry that I haven't written for a while, we have been having a new kitchen floor put down so the computer was unplugged for a while but now we are back at home and up and running.
Hope that you are still feeling well, this sunshine will make any achey bones go away I am sure.
Lots of love, Venetia, Paul, Thomas and Hannah. XXX
