Hi Everyone

My name is Jemima but everyone calls me Mima. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on 13th June 2007 and had to spend just over 3 weeks in hospital. I have set up this blog so that I can keep in touch with my friends and keep you up to date with what I am doing.

WE DID IT!!! - THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SUPPORTED JEMIMA INVITES OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, WE HAVE NOW MANAGED TO BEGIN THE RESEARCH WHICH PROFESSOR MARTIN DYER WAS SO DESPERATE TO DO.

A REALLY GREAT DAY
Today has been a really great day and do you know why????? I went in to hospital to have a blood test and deliver all the Christmas presents and then I took my nose tube out!!! That means I can eat a meal without it being uncomfortable in the back of my throat (but it also means I have to take the stupid medicines in my mouth again - yukkkkkk!)
The other really good news is my blood results were good enough for me to be able to go to Flicks in the Sticks tomorrow and Beauty and the Beast on Saturday. Yippeeeeee!!!
I am just having my pudding now as I have eaten loads of steak, chips, carrots and broccoli. Yummy, what shall I have for pudding? Choc chip cookie, flake choc mousse, ice cream, lollie, meringue or all of it?!?!?
Toodle pip.

Hi jemima, Thank you very much for my present, although I still haven't peeped at what it is. I am very pleased that you are so happy at having taken out your own NG tube. You were very brave. I hope you have a great Christmas and I look forward to hearing what presents you get. Hope to not see you on the ward too soon. Love Katie XXX

WOW!!!!
YOUVE BEEN A RIGHT BUSY BEE HAVN'T YOU MIMA? APART FROM UPDATING US TWICE IN 2 DAYS...YOU'VE FITTED IN A TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL TO DELIVER YOUR PRESSIES WHICH I'M SURE EVERYONE LOVED! IT CAN'T BE EASY THOUGH HAVING TO TAKE YOUR YUKKY MEDICINE BY MOUTH, BUT MAYBE IT'S A LITTLE BIT BETTER THAN HAVING YOUR NASAL TUBE IN ALL THE TIME?
HAVE A GREAT TIME AT FLICKS IN THE STICKS AND BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, I'M SURE YOU WILL...AND I WONDER WHAT YOU DECIDED TO HAVE FOR PUDDING TONIGHT...ALL OF IT I SUPPOSE??? (WELL I WOULD HAVE!)
TAKE CARE MIMA, KEEP SMILING,(ONLY 6 MORE SLEEPS)

You didn't really have all those different puddings at the same time did you?

Hello Mima, it's fab that you had a great time yesterday and even better that you have your tube out though its a bit of a pain having to take your nasty medicines but look on the bright side, its better being able to taste all that delicious food. I hope you have a magical Christmas and Santa Paws brings you and your sister lots and lots of nice things. May your new year bring you and your family all things good. Watcha Gorgeous!!!
How lovely to hear from you... so many times in so few days, you must be on form!!
I am crazy busy, my busiest week of the year really. Ask your mum and dad how noisy was Boboli on Saturday evening?
Tell tham I am so sorry but there was this frightfully rowdy party in!!! Tee Hee....
Any way I am also excited, we are very lucky, because after this week we stop! Both restaurants are closed for a whole 10 days!! How cool is that?? So we get to have a really good break and catch up with our sleep as well as all our friends and family.
I hope that Santa brings you all you wish for and more Mima, especailly lots and lots of good health.
Lots of Christmas love and kisses, Sarah and Lino and The Girls!

Hi Mimes, it was great to see you today and NO TUBE!!! you were very brave to take it out yourself.
I think we can say that flicks in the Sticks was a success. Not only did we raise lots of money for your charity, but everyone seemed to have fun. You were a great shopkeeper, and I am sure all the children went home with tummies full of sweeties!! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.

Dear 'mima - well, so pleased to hear your munching your way through choccy chip cookies and ice cream, good stuff! we did the run for you this morning - there were about 45 of us, ranging in age from 8 to 48. Even family dogs were out in cheery full force, with just YOU in mind! In total, we've raised approximately £3000, and pledges are still coming in! My biggest brother came and took photos for you, so you can see how many people were out on Wimbledon Common thinking of you. I think you would have smiled if you could have been there, Santa hats were the theme of the morning for a lot of the runners!

I'll email your Mummy photos as soon as i get them.

Have a wonderful Christmas, I hope Santa spoils you and your sister way too much!

With love from our family to yours.
